State College police have identified the suspect from a report of suspicious activity last week.
On March 24 police were made aware of an incident that happened at 7:20 a.m. Police say that while an 11-year-old girl was walking to her school bus stop, a college-aged white man driving a white vehicle with scratches approached the girl.
The man reportedly asked her if she was walking to school. When the girl said yes, he reportedly asked her if she wanted a ride. When she said no, he drove away. Police asked the public to come forward with any information about the man, who was described as having brown hair and a small to medium build.
Police say detectives have since spoken with the man, whose identity has not been released. No charges have been filed, but police say the investigation is still active.
