A Penn State student reported that four men tried to get money from his university meal plan card and physically assaulted him when he refused.
University Police said the incident occurred just before 4 a.m. Sunday on the north side sidewalk of 441 E. College Ave., immediately south of the South Halls complex on the University Park campus.
The student said four college-age, white males asked him for “swipes” from his Penn State meal plan, meaning to use his student ID to purchase food. When he would not agree to do so, two of the men ‘physically assaulted him causing bodily injury,’ according to a Timely Warning issued by police.
The student described the two men who allegedly assaulted him as each having blonde hair and being approximately 5-feet 9-inches tall.
