A new semester at Penn State means new faces in the crowd. Some are a little bit furrier than others — Labrador puppies who are on campus to learn, too.
The puppies in training are part of a program called Roar for More, a partnership between Penn State and Susquehanna Service Dogs. Penn State students working with the program are matched with one dog each and train them through a variety of experiences. The goal of Roar for More is for puppies to be well-trained and well-socialized so that they can then be service dogs for people with different needs.
Centre County Report’s Alex Bobbyn has more on the story and the impact service dogs can have.
