A Winter Weather Advisory posted by the National Weather Service remains in effect Monday morning.

Slippery roads and sidewalks are possible due to freezing rain across State College and much of central Pennsylvania.

That’s causing numerous closings and delays across the region.

The State College Area School District says schools will open on a two hour delay because of the weather. Schlow Library will not open until 11 a.m.

The National Weather Service says accumulations of ice will range from one tenth of an inch in south-central Pennsylvania to under a tenth of an inch in areas farther north.

Temperatures are expected to slowly rise though the morning, reaching the mid 30s by late morning.

The Winter Weather Advisory will expire at 10 a.m.
