As thousands of people roll into State College for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, borough officials have issued some parking-related reminders.

For this weekend, they announced, overnight parking restrictions on many streets will be lifted.

But, in a written statement, they also emphasized that areas marked for festival-exhibitor parking will be closely watched, with violators to be ticketed or towed.

In addition, lawn parking in the borough will be not allowed.

Meanwhile, the municipal parking garages on South Fraser Street, South Pugh Street and West Beaver Avenue now accept credit cards in addition to cash. People using credit cards will need to insert their cards at the garage exit gates.

More information is posted on the borough website’s homepage.
