A State College resident will be among the contestants on tonight’s episode of ‘America’s favorite quiz show.’

Rebecca Zoshak, a Penn State language specialist, will appear on Thursday’s edition of ‘Jeopardy!’ which airs locally at 7 p.m. on ABC 23-WATM. Episodes are recorded a few months in advance, but contestants can’t reveal how they fared until after they air.

Zoshak is a language specialist and lecturer in Penn State’s Department of Applied Linguistics, where she is also a doctoral candidate.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern and a master’s degree from Penn State in teaching English as a second language. Zoshak has taught ESL at the university since 2011, and has been a language specialist for Penn State Law.

Zoshak will be competing against Julie Zauzmer, of Washington, D.C., and the returning champion from Wednesday’s episode, Gilbert Collins, of Princeton, N.J..
