Two pedestrians suffered injuries after being hit by cars in two separate incidents that happened during Wednesday’s rainstorms, according to the State College Police Department.

One accident occurred near South Atherton Street.

Police say Home Delivery Pizzeria driver Kevin Black, 24, of Danville was turning right onto Woodsdale Lane when he struck John Tucker, 62, of Boalsburg.

Tucker suffered neck, arm and hand injuries and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center.

In the other incident, Ann Callahan, 72, of Arlington, Va., was walking across College Avenue when she was hit. Police say Clair Woodel, 25, of Clearfield, was attempting to make a left turn when the accident happened.

Callahan suffered hip and back injuries and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
