State College has no shortage of venues to hang out, have a beer, eat some chicken wings, and watch a big sports game. There may be no day of the year when that is truer than Super Bowl Sunday, which has cemented itself as an American holiday of sorts.

If you’re stuck without plans to celebrate the festivities and enjoy the game, which pits the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots, we’ve assembled a list of the best local options. From wing specials to cheap draft beers, there’s something for everyone in town today:

Champs Sports Grill — 1611 N. Atherton St.

Champs might not be walking distance for those in the downtown area, but if the roads are safe enough to drive on today, this sports bar easily has the best specials in town. From kickoff to the end of the game, Champs has a Bud Light NFL giveaway that could earn you a two-night vacation, cooler chair, or cornhole set. They will have $2 Bud Light drafts, $6 pitchers, and “all-you-can-swallow wings” for $12.99. Champs is packed full of televisions and assuming you can get a seat, there isn’t a bad one in the restaurant. They suggest calling ahead to reserve a table.

Home D Pizzeria — 1820 S. Atherton St.

Located on the other end of Atherton, Home D Pizzeria might not be your typical Super Bowl gameday venue, but it’s packed full of televisions and has deals to keep the day light on your wallet. You can snag an any-topping, any-size pizza for $9.99 from 4 p.m. to close along with 50-cent wings. If you make it to Home D for the game, you have a chance to win 10 Penn State men’s hockey suite tickets.

Kildare’s Irish Pub — 538 E. College Ave.

If you want a more traditional football-watching bar for the big game, Kildare’s is always a great option. For just $45, you can order 50 wings and a large fries along with your $3 Yards beers. Kildare’s is taking pre-orders for game-time deliveries if you’d rather eat those wings on your living room couch, but there are plenty of televisions in the pub for those who make it out.

Rotelli Pizza & Pasta — 250 E. Calder Way

State College’s most popular Italian restaurant/sports bar combo is hosting its 8th Annual Super Bowl Party on Sunday. You can gain access to an all-you-can-eat buffet for just $15, which includes house salad, wings, pizza, buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese, tater tot casserole, and some Seattle and New England favorites. The buffet is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rotelli says it will have plenty of “promo girls” hanging out with prizes. If you want to ensure a table, they are taking reservations.

Quaker Steak & Lube – 501 Benner Pike

This restaurant chain has the self-proclaimed best wings in America, so it’s only fitting that you can buy them on special for Super Bowl Sunday. QS&L is offering 100 wings for $69.99 or 100 boneless wings for $64.99 among a slew of other deals. Again, this isn’t your standard sports bar, but the place is packed with big-screen televisions over the bar and has plenty of beer on tap.

Whether you choose any of the above options, make your way to a different bar, or head into town for a party or gathering, be careful. As StateCollege.com reported earlier today, there is a big snow storm headed for town and the roads will likely be dangerous both before and after the game. The outer edge of the storm is just beginning to reach State College at 2 p.m. and you can expect steady precipitation through Monday morning.
