The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for State College and much of central Pennsylvania.

A cold front will be sweeping across the region overnight. A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms will accompany the cold front.

Strong winds associated with the front are expected to last for several hours. Winds will be out of the west-southwest reaching 20 mph. Gusts could be as high as 45 mph.

Falling tree limbs may caused some power outages. Lawn furniture and trash cans could be tossed around by the wind. Homeowners are urged to tie down or store any objects that may be blown around.

Drivers should use caution in areas prone to strong cross-winds.

The Wind Advisory will remain in effect from 11 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday.
