Local Greens Community Lunch Series presented by Cityscape Farm Supply

Join us for lunch on the first Friday of each month, where we engage in conversation and enjoy a fresh and healthful community meal! Cityscape Farm Supply will provide the salad greens, you provide a side or salad fixings, and the conversation for our expert guest!

April's Topic:

Joshua Brock is the owner and farmer at Hoffman Appalachian Farm in St. Marys, PA in Elk County. Operating since 2014, the farm grows hops, believing deeply in the ground-roots, Participatory Guarantee System focused on the benefits of organic agriculture.

A St. Marys native and State College resident, Joshua recounts his story of working at a farm in Howard, PA upon moving back to the area from Colorado in 2009, followed by a stint working for Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) in Spring Mills. In addition, he will discuss what future offerings he sees for the farm, including small grains and hemp, and what goes into the process for growing the latter in Pennsylvania.
