State Rep. Paul Takac (R-82) will speak about state-level initiatives in an open forum at Foxdale Village, 500 E. Marylyn Ave., State College from 7 to 8 p.m. This program is free and open to the public.

Fish & Chips
Nittany American Legion Post 245 will be offering drive-through fish meals to go. Each meal will include a battered haddock fillet, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup. The cost of each meal is $15 or $14 if you pre-order at NittanyPost245.org. Meals may be picked up at the Post 1950, Pine Hall Road, State College between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Central PA 250th Independence Day Parade and other Post 245 Programs.
Bellefonte Fish Fry
Bellefonte Friday Night Fish Fry, served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinners included baked lemon pepper cod or Yuengling beer battered haddock or panko crusted fried shrimp, choice of three sides – french fries, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, applesauce and a homemade dessert. A la Carte items including haluski and pierogies with butter and onions. Eat in or take out. Dinners are $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12, cash only. Children under 6 are free.

Contra Dance
The State College Friends School, 1900 University Dr., State College is co-hosting a family-friendly Contra Dance for the community from 3 to 6 p.m. at the school. Lessons for new dancers begin at 3 p.m. All dances are taught and easy to learn. Music by Crooked Stovepipe. Suggested donation is $15 to help cover the cost of the caller and musicians, and refreshments will be available. For more information, email statecollegecontradance@gmail.com.

Celebrate United — 2025 Campaign Celebration
Centre County United Way will host Celebrate United, a campaign celebration event marking the conclusion of its 2025 Annual Campaign, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Centre Care. CCUW will announce the total funds raised through the 2025 Annual Campaign and highlight leadership donors, corporate partners, and volunteers whose generosity and commitment support programs and services throughout Centre County.
