• Abdul Carter was named to the First Team AFCA All-America Team on Friday, Dec. 13. Carter was also named to the First Team Walter Camp Foundation Team as well as being the Nagurski-Woodson Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and the Smith-Brown Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year. He is also in the running for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Lombardi Award, the Lott IMPACT Trophy and the Walter Camp Player of the Year.
• Tyler Warren was named a First Team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation and the Second Team AFCA All-America Team. He won the Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end (the first Lion to win the award) and he is a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year and the Paul Hornung Award. Warren set Penn State and Big Ten records with 17 receptions for 224 yards in the USC game.
• Penn State gained 518 yards of offense in the Big Ten championship game against Oregon including 292 yards on the ground. Drew Allar threw for three touchdown passes in the game, and he directed a 97-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown drive, the longest in championship game history.
• The Lions had eight plays of over 20 yards against Oregon, which brought the season total up to 65 plays.
• Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton both rushed for over 100 yards against Oregon, the second time the two have done that in the same game.
• Warren broke the Big Ten record for receiving yards with 1,062 yards this season. Warren has at least one catch in his last 29 games in a row.
• Penn State is now 3-2 all-time against Oregon, and 1-1 in Big Ten championship games.
• The Big Ten announced its 2025 schedule, and Penn State will open the season with a home game against Oregon on Saturday, Sept. 27. The Lions will also play Northwestern, Indiana and Nebraska at home and travel to UCLA, Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State and Rutgers.
• The non-conference games are all at home against Nevada, FIU and Villanova.
• Penn State signed 27 athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Of them, 24 were rated four stars or above by a national recruiting outlet, and the class includes 14 offensive players and 13 defensive players.
