SPRING MILLS — The Bald Eagle Area and Penns Valley boys soccer teams tuned up for the District 6 Class 2A playoffs by battling to a 0-0 two-overtime tie on Oct. 15.

“We had a fantastic game tonight against Penns Valley,” BEA coach Jason Blair said. “It was a hard fought game. We played well as a team. We just didn’t get the chance to put the ball in the back of the net. We’re excited to continue as we get ready to look at districts next week. I’m proud of these kids, proud to be their coach.”

“Well sometimes you can say it might not be the exact result that you or the guys or everybody wanted,” Penns Valley coach Brian Markle posted on the Penns Valley boys soccer Facebook page.

“However, the match this evening could have fell either way. Both teams are more than deserving of what the outcome was this evening.”
