Wine Bingo — Friday, March 7
Wine Bingo with Beth will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7, at Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery in Centre Hall.
Each guest will get a bingo card with a wine purchase and depending on the size of the crowd, up to 10 rounds will be played. The winner of each round of bingo will receive a $5 gift certificate that can be used toward a flight, glass or bottle purchase.
Light of the World Clothing Bank — Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8
The Light of the World Clothing Bank will be open from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 8, at Saint John’s United Church of Christ in Bellefonte.
Free clothes will be available for everyone from babies to adults.
Friends of the Holt Memorial Library Book Sale — Saturday, March 8
There will be a Friends of the Holt Memorial Library Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg.
Guests are invited to browse the books for sale downstairs and in the back room of the library. Books bought support the Holt Memorial Library and a new selection of books is available for every sale.
Forests are Fun for Everyone — Saturday, March 8
Forests are Fun for Everyone will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 8, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College.
The free drop-in family event will feature hands-on activities, crafts, educational programs, exhibits, animals, snacks, games and more.
There will also be planned presentations throughout the day in the Senate Suite.
Centre County Ballroom Dance — Sunday, March 9
The February Centre County Ballroom Dance will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte. The dance will start with a salsa lesson followed by dancing and then a showcase. Admission is $10 a person and guests are asked to bring a snack to share.
Homeschool Library Meetup — Monday, March 10
There will be a homeschool meetup from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10, at the Bellefonte Branch of the Centre County Library.
At the meetup, guests can get their library questions answered, learn about resources, share tips and experiences with other parents and have time for kids to learn and play with each other through activities.
No registration is required for the event.
Nittany Valley Writers Network Meeting — Tuesday, March 11
The Nittany Valley Writers Network is meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in the Community Room at the Schlow Centre Region Library in State College.
The Owner of Webster’s Bookstore Café, Elaine Meder-Wilgus, will lead a discussion about how Webster’s can support local writers. The event is free and open to the public.

Women’s Cigar Club — Tuesday, March 11
The Cigar Den’s North Store will host its Women’s Cigar Club at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in State College.
The club is a gathering for women who love cigars or are eager to learn more in a warm and inclusive environment. Each meeting will feature a pairing and a chance to explore the cigar lifestyle.
Guests are invited to drop by; no RSVP is needed.
Poetry Workshop — Wednesday, March 12
There will be a Poetry Workshop at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at the Bellefonte Art Museum.
Come to work on approaches to writing ekphrastic poetry and generate ideas for BAM’s monthly writing contest or your practice.

Nittany Baptist Church Children’s Program — Wednesday, March 12
Nittany Baptist Church will have its AWANA program for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at the church in State College.
The program is designed to build a spiritual foundation in children to help them navigate life using the nationally recognized AWANA program. The program will be in building two.

Less Mowing, More Growing: Native Grasses for the Home Landscape — Thursday, March 13
Schlow Centre Region Library and the Pennsylvania Native Plant Society are hosting the lunch event series “You CAN Garden! You SHOULD Garden,” from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, in the Community Room of the Schlow Centre Region Library in State College.
Week two in the how-to series is on how the right grasses can convert your yard into a beautiful sustainable habitat, led by Sarah Chamberlin, associate research professor and curator, PAC Herbarium at PSU and author of “Filed Guide to Grasses of the Mid-Atlantic Region.”
Free PA Native plant seeds will also be available as supplies last.
No Spend March: How to Save with the Library Q&A — Thursday, March 13
There will be a presentation at the Centre Hall Area Branch of the Centre County Library about how to use the library and its resources to help with saving money.
The program will be from 5 to 6 p.m. at the library in Centre Hall in celebration of the library’s “No Spend March.”
Registration is not required and guests can drop in.
