Quizzo at Mount Nittany Winery — Friday, March 14
Quizzo, a team trivia game, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Mount Nittany Winery in Centre Hall. The game will consist of 40 trivia questions divided into four rounds, with some rounds having themes.
Penn State graduate Jon Mackey will serve as “Master of Ceremonies.”
The session is $15 to sign up and includes a glass of wine. Guests will either need to sign up with a team of four to six or be willing to be paired with other people.
Indoor Yard Sales — Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15
Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will host its Indoor Yard Sales from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, in the activity center behind the church.
There will be more than 35 tables selling a variety of antiques, collectibles, houseware, jewelry, Barbies, puzzles, books, Fenton Glass, toys, fabric, Willow Tree figures, purses, linens and more. The kitchen will be open during the sale as well.
Drop-In Game Day — Saturday, March 15
There will be a drop-in game day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at the Centre Hall Area Branch of the Centre County Library.
Guests are invited to stop by the library to play some card and board games on the library tables.
For the LOVE of Fiber — Saturday, March 15
The Centre Knitters Guild is hosting its For the LOVE of Fiber event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in State College. The 14th annual event welcomes all lovers of fiber and the fiber arts.
From knitters and weavers to spinners and embroiderers, there will be something for everyone. Classes will be offered, there will be merchants with items for sale, a silent auction with baskets, the Knit Doctor will be in and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet other fiber lovers.
Admission to the event is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
A Brief Introduction to the Art of Bonsai — Saturday, March 15
There will be a presentation and demonstration on the art of Bonsai from Tony Ricciardi, a member of the Bellefonte Garden Club, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, in the community room of the Bellefonte Branch of the Centre County Library.
Guests can learn all about the history, art and training of Bonsai and even have the chance to win a Cascade Bonsai tree.
The event is in collaboration with the Bellefonte Garden Club. Registration is not required; guests are welcome to stop in.
Millheim Clock Tower Fundraiser — Sunday, March 16
There will be a fundraiser event to help preserve the Millheim Town Clock from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at the American Legion Post 444 in Millheim.
Guests can eat in or take food to go with a Saint Patty’s themed meal, with the proceeds going toward the restoration of the clock tower. The recommended donation for the event is $10.
AT the event, there will also be a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, a performance from the Miss Melanie Duo and more.
Knit Wits — Monday, March 17
Community members are invited to bring their knitting or crocheting projects from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 17, at the Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg. All skill levels are welcome to join. There is no set project, so guests are asked to bring what they are currently working on.
4-H Teen Council Pancake Supper — Tuesday, March 18
The Centre County 4-H Teen Council is hosting a Pancake Supper fundraising event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Centre Hall Lions Club.
Nittany Baptist Church Children’s Program — Wednesday, March 19
Nittany Baptist Church will have its AWANA program for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, at the church in State College.
The program is designed to build a spiritual foundation in children to help them navigate life using the nationally recognized AWANA program. The program will be in building two.

Howard UMC Soup Sale and Luncheon — Thursday, March 20
The Howard United Methodist Church is hosting a soup sale and luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until supplies run out) on Thursday, March 20, at the church in Howard.
Guests can dine in or take soup to go with options of vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken and corn or chicken noodle.
Quarts to go should be ordered by Sunday, Feb. 16, and can be ordered by calling Patti Long at 814-625-2182. The cost is $8 for a lunch or quart to go, and proceeds benefit local missions in the area.
Gardening and Yardening for the Birds — Thursday, March 20
Schlow Centre Region Library and the Pennsylvania Native Plant Society are hosting the lunch event series “You CAN Garden! You SHOULD Garden,” from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in the Community Room of the Schlow Centre Region Library in State College.
Week three in the how-to series is on the plants and practices that attract birds and create a healthy habitat, led by Joe Gyekis, an associate teaching professor of biobehavioral health at Penn State and bird-safe glass advocate, as well as Amber Wiewel, the PA Bird Atlas Coordinator and wildlife and plant enthusiast.
Free PA Native plant seeds will also be available as supplies last.
Happy Valley Puzzle Brewery Puzzle Competition — Thursday, March 20
Enter with a partner to see how quickly you can complete a 300-piece jigsaw puzzle at the Happy Valley Puzzle Brewery Puzzle Competition from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte.

Free Community Education at PGFC — Thursday, March 20
Pleasant Gap Fire Company will host a series of community education nights each month with one-hour classes open to families and all community members.
The event kicks off with “Hands-Only CPR and Basic First Aid” from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in Pleasant Gap.
