On June 20, police investigated a complaint of theft in Howard after an unknown person sent fraudulent cashier’s checks to the victim as payment for merchandise between May 28 and June 20. The victim also sent the person money for shipping for the merchandise.

Police are investigating a case of identity theft in Boggs Township from June 19 to 26, when suspects opened an AT&T account in a Bellefonte woman’s name.

Police said they stopped a vehicle on Interstate 99 at mile marker 84 for a traffic violation June 25 and conducted a probable cause search that yielded multiple drugs and paraphernalia. Charges were filed against Stephenie Marsahall, 26, of Monroeville, and Sania Cabiness, 31, of Pittsburgh, for possession with intent to deliver.

Police said they responded to a domestic dispute between a 24-year-old Bellefonte man and a 24-year-old Bellefonte woman on Jonathan Lane in Benner Township on July 1. Prosecution was declined.

Police said Dennis Fetters, 38, allegedly head-butted his daughter at 105 Dixon Road, Benner Township, on July 1. Harassment charges are pending.

Police said they found Joseph Niedermyer, 19, to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia July 7 in Potter Township. Police said all evidence associated with this incident was collected and transported to PSP Rockview. Charges are pending.

Police are investigating after a sign was reported as stolen from a yard at 314 Pine Creek Road, Haines Township, sometime between July 7 and 8. Anyone with information should contact state police at (814) 355-7545.

While processing Reagan Gurbal, 27, of Moshannon, for charges July 13 in Centre County, police confirmed there was an arrest warrant out for her from the Iron City Sherriff’s Office in Utah. Police said that extradition for Gurbal was confirmed and charges were filed.
PHILIPSBURG STATE POLICE
Police filed charges after they determined that Michael Kowalcyk, 36, of Philipsburg, took four firearms, a generator and a chainsaw from a Game Reserve Road residence in Rush Township between Feb. 1 and June 6. Kowalcyk then allegedly provided the firearms to Markel Maines, 48, of Philipsburg. Kowalcyk has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and sale or transfer of firearms. Maines was charged with receiving stolen property.

Police report that on May 22 a 44-year-old Warriors Mark woman allegedly passed a bad check in the amount of $136.02 at Ace Hardware in Philipsburg. Charges are pending.

Police said that on June 14 an unknown number of suspects entered a camper that was parked at 204 Laurel Acres Lane, Rush Township, and fled when confronted. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

While driving on Loveville Road in Halfmoon Township on July 13, Crystal Morgan, of Warriors Mark, drifted into another lane and sideswiped another car, according to police. Police said that Morgan did not stop after the crash and the other driver turned to followed Morgan to her place of residence and called police. Both vehicles were observed with damage to the driver’s side mirrors. No injuries were reported. Morgan was cited with driving on the wrong side of the roadway.

Police are looking for information after a group of approximately five to six individuals gained entrance to the old Philipsburg-Osceola Junior High School on North Sixth Street, Philipsburg, on July 14. One person was described as wearing a red shirt and another was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and had long brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (814) 342-3370.

Police report they are looking for a person who removed a firearm from the Philipsburg Borough code enforcement vehicle between July 14 and 16. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
