LADY EAGLES LOSE FIRST

The Lady Eagles scored their only run when Sydney Thompson hit a home run. Mayee Yoder also delivered two hits.
“Not our best offensive outing so far, but way too early to get excited,” BEA coach Don Lucas said. “Huntingdon’s pitcher did a great job keeping us from settling in, and we took way too many pitches for strikes.
“All in all both pitchers pitched well. They just squared up and strung some hits together. Again, we are still in March, and there is a lot of season in front of us.”
The Lady Eagles (3-1) were scheduled to host Philipsburg-Osceola on Tuesday, April 1. Results of the game were unavailable at the time of The Gazette’s publishing deadline.
