PHILIPSBURG STATE POLICE

Police are investigating a reported statuary sexual assault that occurred April 15 at 109 Howard St., Rush Township, with a 21-year-old male suspect from Philipsburg and a 17-year-old female victim.

Police reported that Melissa Davis, of Osceola Mills, lost control of her vehicle after encountering a large area of loose gravel while driving on Phoenix Road, west of Tyrone Pike in Rush Township, on April 17. Davis crashed into a tree, then her vehicle spun 360 degrees and came to a rest blocking the eastbound lane. No injuries were reported.

Police reported that Kayla Josephson, of Drifting, fell asleep at the wheel while driving on Interstate 99 at mile marker 66 in Worth Township on April 18 at 12:09 a.m., striking a guard rail and a concrete barrier. She was charged with careless driving. No injuries were reported.

A 56-year-old man from State College attempted to purchase a firearm from Belding and Mull in Rush township but was denied. Police are investigating.

Police are investigating after a firearm was taken from 538 N. 11th St., Philipsburg, sometime from March 25 to March 27. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Philipsburg.

Police responded to a report of domestic abuse on 3631 Casanova Road, Rush Township, on April 18. Upon arrival, police determined that Cody Ogden, 31, was in violation of a protection from abuse order by being present on the property and engaging in an argument with the victim. An arrest warrant was issued and the investigation continues.

Police charged Randy Litz, 52, of Philipsburg, with disorderly conduct after he was yelling and making unreasonable noise at an apartment building on South Front Street, Philipsburg, on April 21 at 8:10 a.m.

After police stopped Alexis Kaczor, 21, on North Centre Street, Philipsburg, for displaying the incorrect registration plate on April 7, it was determined that she was required to have a vehicle with an ignition interlock system and the vehicle did not.

ROCKVIEW STATE POLICE

Police said they received a call April 16 for an incident of domestic abuse that occurred April 10 in Walker Township. The victim reported that Edward Gummo, 48, struck her, threw her and strangled her on three separate occasions. The victim told police her breathing was restricted to the point of near loss of consciousness and that she was beaten. Police report that she showed injuries common to physical abuse. Charges were filed April 16 and Gummo was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.

Police charged Abigale Bilby, 19, of Winburne, and Samantha Greenway, 18, also of Winburne, with harassment/physical contact April 17 after an incident with a 34-year-old Bellefonte man at 126 Railroad St., Milesburg.

Police arrested Alexander Fults, 45, for a PFA violation on Clarence Road, Snow Shoe Township, on April 18.

A 17-year-old from Bellefonte and 24-year-old from Bellefonte were found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia by police in Bellefonte on April 19.

Police said a driver drove off laughing after he crashed his Ford into a mailbox on General Potter Highway, Potter Township, on April 22. The driver swerved to avoid heavy congestion and initially spoke with the property owner who observed the crash. The driver claimed he would return before he fled eastbound.

A Milesburg man was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia in Milesburg on April 23.
