STATE POLICE AT ROCKVIEW

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, along Ridge Road in Burnside Township. According to police, a 29-year-old Grassflat man was driving a 2009 Hyundai Accent at a high rate of speed when control of the vehicle was lost, causing the car to cross over the northbound lane. The Grassflat man overcorrected and left the roadway when coming back into the southbound lane. The Hyundai overturned after leaving the roadway and came to rest facing the opposite direction. No injuries were reported, but the 29-year-old man was cited for the crash.

State police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, along Orviston Mountain Road in Curtin Township. According to police, a 2005 Chevrolet owned by a 41-year-old Lock Haven man was recovered by PSP Meadville in Centre County and brought back to the station’s impound lot. A 41-year-old Meadville man was subsequently arrested and charged.

State police investigated reports of thefts from multiple cars around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, along North Seventh Street in the Philipsburg Borough. According to police, a 26-year-old Altoona man and a 24-year-old Osceola woman were arrested, and once detained, numerous credit cards, debit cards, Social Security cards and gift cards that did not belong to either of the two were recovered.

State police responded to a report of assault around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, along South Second Street in the Philipsburg Borough. According to police, an investigation led to charges filed against a 21-year-old State College woman. Police did not report additional information.
