Police Blotter

State police reported a theft at 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 20 on the Bald Eagle High School basketball court. Two boys left items worth $145 in the court before walking to Sheetz. According to police, two white juveniles and a white female drove a black Kia with a red top to the court, stole the belongings and drove away.

The suspected vehicle was headed toward Milesburg, and state police are still looking for information regarding anyone who drives a black Kia with a red top.

State police arrested an Osceola Mills woman at 5:36 p.m. Aug. 27 for possession of drug paraphernalia. Carly Johnson, 26, was stopped on North Thomas and West Lamb streets in Bellefonte when police revealed she had a suspended driver’s license.

State police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle accident that took place around 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 along Interstate 80 eastbound in Boggs Township. According to police, a 2015 Ford Fusion being driven by Giana Johnston, 20, of Commerce Township, Michigan, left the roadway and struck the guide rail. No injuries were reported in the accident. The Fusion was towed from the scene by Rich’s Amoco.

State police are investigating a case of child abuse that allegedly took place along West Church Street in Centre Hall Borough. Police say the incident was reported at 8:33 a.m. on Aug. 26.

No other details were released by police.

A case of criminal mischief was investigated by state police on Aug. 24 along Walnut Street in Howard Borough. According to police, the home of a 70-year-old Howard man was sprayed with WD-40. The perpetrator sprayed the porch and side of the house, police said. Damage was estimated at less than $1,000. The incident was reported around 6 p.m.

A protection-from-abuse violation took place on Sept. 9, according to state police. According to police, a 48-year-old Centre Hall man violated a PFA that a 45-year-old Centre Hall woman had taken out against him. The incident took place at 11:08 a.m. along Meadow Lane in Potter Township. Charges were filed through the district magistrate’s office.

State police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 99 in Patton Township on Sept. 7. According to police, a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier. The crash caused damage to the right rear tire of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Graham’s Exxon. The driver was cited for their role in the 1:54 p.m. incident.

A one-vehicle crash called state police to the intersection of Filmore Road and Fox Hollow Road on Sept. 8. According to police, the driver of a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a fence at the University Park Airport. The driver told police the crash was caused by heavy fog. The crash took place at 6:51 a.m. The driver was cited for their role in the crash, police said.
