State police at Rockview arrested two Shade Gap individuals on the morning of Dec. 30 after police stopped their vehicle for a traffic violation.
Police said the first individual was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, and both individuals were in possession of drug paraphernalia and had active arrest warrants. Charges are pending.

State police at Rockview reported a hit-and-run crash on the evening of Jan. 18 on Maple Street in Rush Township. Police said it is unknown if the individual involved is injured.
During the crash, the vehicle hit a fire hydrant and then continued traveling east before driving over a curb to the right side of the roadway.

State police at Rockview responded to a crash on Jan. 17 on Sinking Creek Road that left one driver seriously injured.
Police said the crash occurred as the driver attempted to drive along a left curve. The car slid on ice, hit an embankment and then hit a tree on the embankment. The driver was transported by EMS and was taken by helicopter to UPMC Altoona.

State police at Rockview responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Marion Township on Jan. 27. The crash occurred after a ratchet strap on one vehicle snapped and part of the load swung out and hit the back of the second vehicle, police said.
No injuries were sustained and police did not provide further information.
