State College Sunrise Rotary Club inducts new officers

STATE COLLEGE — The State College Sunrise Rotary Club inducted its new officers and board members for the 2025-26 Rotary year on Wednesday, July 9.

Area governor for area #10, Tiffany Mathias, conducted the ceremony where each officer was sworn in to serve the club, follow the club constitution and bylaws and be an example for others to follow.

Scott Rawson was sworn in as Sargent of Arms, Mike Majewski was sworn in as President-Elect, Ron Beyer as Assistant Treasurer, Jill Ausherman as Treasurer, Art Leach as Secretary and Sophie Penney Leach as President.

Year-round, the State College Sunrise Rotarians work on service projects like Green Crew trash collections for Arts Festival, Camp Cadet Mountain Pie Making, packing YMCA backpacks and hosting Santa’s mailbox in December.
