March Atrium Exhibit at the Gallery Shop
March 2, 2021 @ 10:30 am – March 27, 2021 @ 5:30 pm EST
Impressionism and Modern Art have been Charlie’s interest areas for many years, and she credit those genres as her main influences. Textures and colors fascinate her, so she experiments with different mediums as bases for her acrylic blends of vibrant colors for her abstracts. During the past year she has been learning about and creating acrylic pours for which there are endless color and medium combinations, surfaces, and tools to use. Each piece is unique and a bit of a surprise!
Clay is the easiest way for Jason to combine his passions for nature, science, and design into individual, functional pieces of art. He strives to create pottery that will become a favorite piece to be used, examined, held, and enjoyed. Cooking and entertaining are some of his favorite pastimes, heavily influencing the pottery Jason creates. He believes, however, that functionality should not detract from a form’s beauty and design. Motivated by the setting of his home and studio near the Allegheny Plateau, he integrates the flora and
fauna he encounters each day into his glaze colors and embellishments. In the end, he makes what he likes –pottery that is useful, beautiful and inspirational.
