St. Andrew’s Poetry Contest – Submissions Open

March 28 @ 8:00 am - May 22 @ 8:00 am EDT

Our second annual Poetry Contest invites you to join us in a conversation about Creation Care and Climate Crisis.  Writers of all ages, denominations, and beliefs are asked to respond to the following question with a poem:

If the earth and all that is in it are God’s, how do we honor and care for the world, its resources, and all who live here?

This verse from Psalm 24 expresses our faith as an Episcopal Church in our relationship to God and his creation. Whatever your beliefs about spiritual presence in the universe, how should we relate to the natural world we inhabit and to the perils it currently faces?

For complete information about the contest and submission requirements, please visit our website at

Watch for details regarding a poetry reading, panel discussion and book release connected to the contest and this topic that will take place on the Saturday of Arts Festival, July 16!
