Ferguson Township Police Investigating After Bullet Fired Into Residence

Ferguson Township police are investigating after a bullet was fired into a residence on Thursday night in the Fairbrook neighborhood.

No one was injured in what police said appeared to be a random shooting at about 8:50 p.m. on the 4300 block of West Whitehall Road.

The homeowner reported hearing loud bangs as a vehicle drove through the neighborhood. He went to the second floor of the residence and discovered a hole through an exterior wall and damage to an interior wall, police said on Friday.

Officers recovered a bullet that is believed be from a handgun from the interior wall. A Pennsylvania State Police K-9 helped search the scene for casings.
