New Restaurant and Bar to Open in Graduate Hotel

Graduate State College hotel will open Trophy Room, its new restaurant and bar, on Thursday.

“Trophy Room is a signature Graduate Hotels food and beverage concept rooted in nostalgia, serving up classic American dishes with a youthful spin,” according to the hotel’s website.

While the restaurant is new to the 125 S. Atherton St. location, other Graduate hotel properties in college towns such as Chapel Hill, Evanston and Charlottesville have their own Trophy Rooms.

The menu of classic American dishes reflects “regional flavors and local influences,” according to the hotel.

At Graduate State College, the Trophy Room’s dinner menu features shareable starters, Cobb and Caesar salads, and entrees including a smash burger, grilled cheese and tomato soup, chicken tenders and a Reuben sandwich.

The cocktail menu includes locally themed drinks like the Happy Valley Water(strawberry vodka, cranberry juice, soda, basil and lemon peel), Ms. State College (gin, St-Germain, grapefruit juice, soda and lemon peel) and Atherton Giggle Juice (vodka, Big Spring Spirits coconut rum, sour and soda).

See the full menu on the hotel’s website.

Trophy Room will be open 4 to midnight on Thursdays; 7 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to midnight on Fridays; 7 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays; and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays. The kitchen closes at 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
