Allen Heath Bonsell, 54, of State College, died Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born December 7, 1966, in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was the son of the late Jack and Juanita Broome Bonsell. On March 6, 1993 he married Lori Trigger, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Wade and Hope Bonsell, both of State College; and one brother, Jack Bonsell and his wife Shirley of Port Matilda.
Allen graduated from Bald Eagle high school in 1984. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven in 1988 for secondary education and history; and his master’s degree from Penn State University In training and development. He worked as a Training and Development Specialist for OPP at Penn State University.
He was a member of Mount Nittany United Methodist Church. He was also a Mason and a member of Lodge 700, an Eagle Scout, scout leader, and a member of the American Legion Post 245 State College. He was also the former president of the State College Area High School football booster club.
Visitation will be Friday, April 30, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.
Memorial service will be private.
