Andrea D. McGraw, 86, of State College passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was born October 26, 1937, the last of six daughters of the late John Andrew Dale and Lyda (Hoy) Dale.
Andrea was a 1955 graduate of State College Area High School, where she proceeded to a secretarial position at Penn State University. She was united in marriage to Curwood “Woodie” McGraw on December 23, 1955, where they lived in Centre County and together operated C.M. McGraw Builder. In 1973 they began a life of farming in Huntingdon County and then opened & operated the Farmer’s Table restaurant from 1978-1992 in the village of McAlevy’s Fort. The McGraws immersed themselves in the McAlevy’s Fort community and helped to create the Stone Valley Civic Association and were active in the youth football league and 4-H Clubs.
In her retirement, Andrea enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and cooking & baking with family and friends. She also enjoyed the companionship of her feline friends.
Along with her parents and siblings, Andrea was preceded in death by her husband, Curwood “Woodie” McGraw and a grandchild, Adam DePiro.
Andrea is survived by her five children: Kathleen (Robert) DePiro of Tyrone, Brian Marlowe (Debra) McGraw of Abita Springs, LA, Shawn (Sherry) McGraw of Bellefonte, Chad (Kim) McGraw of Huntingdon, and Heather (Ken) McCloskey of Tunnelhill as well as 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
There is no formal service scheduled at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA.
