Anne Richardella

Anne Richardella, 80, of Boalsburg, passed away at home on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Born on August 11, 1940 in Birkenhead, England, she was the daughter of the late H.W. J. Powell and Edith (Hughes) Powell. On September 18, 1965, she married her beloved husband, Raymond A. Richardella, who preceded her in death in 1998, after sharing 33 years of marriage together. 

Anne earned her teaching degree from Durham College. She worked as a teacher in England before going to work as a flight attendant for TWA, where she met her husband and moved to the United States.  

She is survived by her son, Anthony R. Richardella (Heidi) of State College, and three grandchildren, Sarah, Christina, and Carolyn. Also surviving are two sisters, Edith Powney (Chris), Hilary Dixon (Mark), and Andrew Powell (Lesley), all of England. 

Anne was a member of Roswell Assembly in Georgia before moving to Boalsburg where she attended the Calvary Harvest Fields Church. She loved reading, poetry, and praying with and for others. She was devoted to her church, friends, and family. She will be greatly missed, but she is safely with the Lord and those who went before her. 

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 10:30-11am, at Calvary Harvest Fields, 150 Harvest Fields Drive, Boalsburg. Funeral services will begin at 11am at the church with Pastor Dan Nold officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed at live.calvarysc.org for those who are unable to attend. The graveside service will be held in Windber, privately at the convenience of the family. Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anne’s memory to the Calvary Community Fund at 150 Harvest Fields Drive, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
