Betty J. Deitz

Betty J. Deitz 79, of Howard, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born in Bellefonte on September 26, 1941 a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Goodling Weaver.

She was united in marriage to Jerry A. Deitz on Dec. 11, 1959 in Orviston. He preceded her on April 6, 2019. They were blessed with two sons, Scot A. of Howard and Wade ( Crystal ) Deitz of Lemont, six grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Krista, Cayla, Sierra, and Haley, and three great-grandchildren, Sutton, Wyatt, and Novaly.

Betty served as a waitress for many years at various area restaurants. She was an avid reader, loved to camp, and enjoyed ceramic crafts.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11A.M. until the service. Burial will beat Jacksonville Cemetery.
