Betty M (Owens) Homan

Betty M. Owens Homan, 101, of Milesburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Eagle Valley Nursing Home.  She was born on July 10, 1919 in Axemann, Pa. the daughter of the late Jerry & Jennie Lucretia Stover Owens.

She was united in marriage to David Franklin Homan Sr. on November 7, 1936 he preceded her in death on January 6, 2001.

Betty was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Trinity Reform Church in Hublersburg. She volunteered for the Red Cross for over 30 years.  She enjoyed playing the harmonica. 

Betty is survived by one son; David F. (Georgia) Homan Jr. of Zion, two daughters; Lucretia M. Swatsworth of Bellefonte and Nancy K. (John) Rider of Bellefonte and two sisters as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly F. Harmon, five brothers and five sisters, a son-in-law Marvin Swatsworth, a grandson Terry Swatsworth, and a great grandson Randy Swatsworth.

Services will be on Saturday, May 8, 2021. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 West Main Street, Howard at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Keith Koch officiating.   Friends and family will be received from 9:30-11:00 prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall
