Blair O. Young, Jr.

Blair O. Young Jr., 85, of Beech Creek, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Howard on November 2, 1934, a son of the late Blair O. Sr.and Pearl Weaver Young.

He was united in marriage to Mary Arndt on February 23, 1963, she survives him at their home. Also surviving are a daughter, Debra ( Robert ) Snyder of Lock Haven, two sons, Jim ( Barbara ) Young of Mill Hall, and Ronald ( Anna ) Young of Lock Haven, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Ernest ( Shirley ) Young of Runville, two sisters, Margie Houdeshell of Marsh Creek, and Joanne Peace of Howard. He was preceded by a sister, Phyllis Lucas.

Blair was an avid hunter, he also loved to cut grass and was known for his delicious barbecue chicken. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He worked for many years at TA Truck stop and prior to that for many years at American Chemical and Dye.

Due to the current pandemic services will be private at Kader-Neff Funeral Home, Howard with Pastor Bill Livermore officiating. Burial will be at Romola Cemetery, Howard.
