Carl J. Burpo, 72, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on May 21, 1952, in West Chester, New York, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Eileen (Kellogg) Burpo. On October 22, 1972, in Carmel, New York, he married the love of his life, Grace (Losee) Burpo, who survives at home after sharing over 51 years of marriage together.
Carl was a graduate of Yorktown High School. He later attended Centre County Vo-Tech School for Electronics. He worked for a printing company and in the micro-electronics field until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Grace, he is survived by a son, Kenneth “Ken” DeBonrepos of Bellefonte, and three grandchildren, Jeremy, Tamatha, and Amanda.
Along with his parents, Walter and Eileen, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen J. Fisher, and his brother, Mark.
Carl was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. He loved learning new things, and keeping up with the relevant technology, computers, and even Tesla. He lived for the Bellefonte Cruise and was a life member of the A.R.E.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. The funeral service will directly follow, with Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
