Carol A. Schaeffer, 69, of Axemann, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born July 22, 1955, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Robert Schaeffer, who survives at home, and the late Helen (Mills) Schaeffer.
Carol was a 1973 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She worked for Centre Engineering and Wal-Mart.
In addition to her father, Robert, she is survived by her siblings, Peg Corman of Bellefonte, Tim Schaeffer of Bellefonte, Rosemary Rankin (Terry) of Franklin, PA, and Wendy Schaeffer (Molly) of Lemont, and nieces and nephew.
Carol’s family and friends will remember her as a generous, kind, and heartfelt person. She was a loving sister to her siblings and a great aunt to her nieces and nephew, and their children. Carol will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral and burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
