Catherine “Kitty” E. Keith

Catherine was born on June 21st 1937 in Pleasant Gap, PA. She passed away peacefully at home at the age of 83, on February 21, 2021. Kitty was the daughter of the late William H. and Jean L. (Eminhizer) Bailey. On June 22, 1957, she married Robert L. Keith and had five children together. 

She is survived by her five children: Cathy Keith (State College), Sonya A. Keith (State College), Robin (Raymond) Sager (Lamar), Sharon (John) Bellwood (Hampton, FL) and Douglas (Laura) Keith (State College); two grandchildren; Cassandra (Nate) (Philipsburg) and Robert Bellwood (Hampton, FL); one great grandchild, Mason Keith; as well as a sister, Donna (Dave) Meyers (Centre Hall) and a brother Edward (Cathy) Bailey of Tyrone. 

She attended State College Area High School. At a very young age she started babysitting and cleaning houses for the Kalin Family. 

Kitty was a member of the Houserville United Methodist Church. Kitty was well known for taking care of the flowers for the church, as well as a collection for the church. She always had some kind of pet, her favorites being Buttons the cat and a pot belly pig. She was also well known for having a very green thumb. She loved to spend time with her family at picnics, family reunions and at the Grange Fair. 

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Robert, brother Larry and two grandchildren, Samantha and Jessica Bellwood, as well as her parents. 

Friends will be received from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services P.C., 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA, 16801. A funeral service will be held at the Houserville Cemetery immediately following the time of visitation. Rev. Renee Ford will be officiating.
