Clyde Eugene Long,83, of Spring Mills, Pa, passed away on January 29,2024 at home.
Clyde was born in Madisonburg Pa to the late Clayton and Mary (Biddle) Long on April13,1940.He attended Penns Valley High School and graduated in 1960.He went on to serve in the Army for 3 years and worked in the maintenance department Penn State for 30 years.
Clyde is survived by his companion, Melissa St. Clair of Spring Mills; 4 sons, Mike Long of Millheim Pa; Travis Burckhard(Donna)of Lynchburg, Va; Justin Burckhard(Christina)of Bellefonte Pa and Joshua St. Clair(Madison)of Milroy Pa; 2 daughters, Jennifer Myers (Mike) of Spring Mills, Tabitha St. Clair(Chris)of Millheim Pa,
He had 8 grandsons, Nick Long (Cierra)of Howard Pa; AJ Myers (Amy)of Spring Mills Pa ,Justin Myers(Raegyn) of Spring Mills Pa, Charlie Burckhard of Lynchburg Va; Braden Shawley, Julian Burckhard, and Logan Burckhard, all of Bellefonte Pa; Rowen Kennedy of Millheim Pa; 4 granddaughters Destany Burckhard, Aubree Steele, Josie Burckhard, all of Bellefonte Pa; Riley Kennedy of Millheim Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Long.
Funeral Services with full military honors for Clyde E. Long will be held at the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services LLC, 320 Main St. Mill Hall, Pa on Monday, February 5th, 2024 at 10AM with Pastor Susan Champion of the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church officiating. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home 1 hour prior to services.
Burial will take place in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
