Darwin G. “Jake” Corman

Darwin G. “Jake” Corman, 85, of Milesburg passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Jake was born in Bellefonte on June 8, 1935, the son of the late Clyde W. and Miriam Wyland Corman, Sr. On September 9, 1961 he married the former Sandra Keeler (Corman) who survives at home.

Along with his wife he is survived by his daughters, Robin C. (Rick) Witherite of GA, Tracie (Barry) Campbell of Milesburg; his grandchildren, Tierney Milton, Aubrey Moore, Carley Brewer, Hailey Wellar and his great grandchildren, Memphis, Maxdin, Everleigh and Raylin. Along with his parents Jake was preceded in death by his siblings, Clyde W. Corman, Jr., Blanche Thompson, Peggy Reeder and Thomas C. Corman.

Jake retired from the Sales Department at Cerro Metal Products. He was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He served his country proudly in the United State Air Force. He was a member of the Milesburg Baptist church where he served as a deacon and a council member. He was
also a board member of the Centre Community Hospital, a member of the Milesburg Lions Club and the Milesburg Community Center.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Milesburg Baptist Church, 110 Market Street, Milesburg. The funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11 AM with Pastor B. Jeffery Trawinski officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Bellefonte where military honors will be accorded. We will be following CDC recommendations, facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
