Dolores Ann Edwards, formerly of Aaronsburg, passed away on July 10, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was 93. Dolores was born June 11, 1932, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Paul and Dorothy Pluckard. She graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1950.
In 1955, Dolores married David Edwards and moved to Aaronsburg, Pennsylvania where she and her family lived for nearly 70 years.
Dolores is remembered as a kind person and gracious friend with great love and dedication to her family – her life partner, children, grandchildren, and great grandson.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, David C. Edwards. Dolores is survived by two daughters Sheree Hosterman (Rich) of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania and Dianne McManigal (Keith) of Seattle, Washington and her son David, who resides in Middlebury, Vermont. Also surviving are grandchildren Tyler McManigal (Ashley) of Seattle, Washington, Brooke Hanson (Taylor) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and great-grandson Casey Hanson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her grandchildren and her great grandson were her heart and soul.
In accordance with Dolores’ wishes, she will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg during a private service. Donations in her memory can be made to Pets Come First at 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.
