Dorothy W. (Womelsdorf) Confer

Dorothy W. Confer, 96, a resident of Haven Skilled Rehabilitation of Lock Haven, formerly of Blanchard and Howard, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Clayton and Irene Dietz Womelsdorf.

Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of the Lock Haven High School. On August 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Dean T. Confer who preceded her in death on November 17, 2019.

Dot worked at Woolrich of Blanchard, Bobby Brooks and Sylvania. She was a faithful member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Blanchard.

She is survived by two daughters; Karen S. (Denny) Bitner of Howard and Beth A. (Clarence) Probst of Mill Hall, two grandchildren; Joshua (Melissa) Probst of Central City and Sara Beth (Brian) Vallor of Pittsburgh and three great-grandchildren; Hunter, Tyler, and Laurel Probst.

Private services at the families convenience at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard with Rev. Dr. Chris Davis officiating. Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery in Blanchard. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church, PO Box 207, Blanchard, Pa. 16826.
