Doyle C. Smoyer, 56, of Bellefonte, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Born on June 21, 1964 in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Arthur and Martha (Bechdel) Smoyer. On May 24, 1986 he married the love of his life, Zeta (Blair) Smoyer, who survives at home after sharing 35 years of marriage together. 

Doyle was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. He worked as a fuel delivery driver for Nittany Oil Co. for 25 years. 

In addition to his wife, Zeta, he is survived by his son, Daniel Smoyer, and wife Katlyn Smoyer, of Bellefonte, one granddaughter, Zoey Smoyer, brothers Dan Smoyer (Sandy) of Milroy, and Robert Smoyer (Lisa) of Moshannon, and sisters Florence Ann Cogan of Lewistown, Cheryl Kauffman (Larry) of Port Royal, Gail Trutt (Dan) of Harrisburg, and Wanda Corman of Centre Hall. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Janet Blair, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Don Blair (Dora), Ernie Blair (Amy), Jon “Keith” Blair (Cathy), Donna Reed (Ray), Sherry Conklin (Jim), Darlene Mallory, and Edna Furrow (Greg), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Paul Cogan, and Tim Corman, and nieces, Angela Smoyer and Lacey Blair.

Doyle loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He treasured the time that he spent with his family, especially his granddaughter, Zoey. An inseparable duo, Doyle could always be found with his faithful canine companion, Buddy, by his side. He will truly be missed by all who knew him but leaves behind priceless memories that will forever be cherished by his loved ones. 

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
