Eleanor M. Durachko, 89, of Clarence, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on March 28, 1932, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Almashie) Tyner, Sr. On May 8, 1954, in Clarence, she married Adolph D. Durachko who passed away on July 25, 1987.

Eleanor attended the Snow Shoe High School. She was a member of the Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence. She was a homemaker.

Eleanor was a quiet person and led a simple life. She enjoyed making rag dolls in her younger days. She like to play cards, especially poker with the “girls”. Her home and lawn were always impeccable. She was an excellent baker and cook. Those traits were passed down from her mother to she and all her sisters.

Eleanor is survived by her two children: Diane L. Cramer and her husband, Bruce, of Howard and Daniel M. Durachko and his wife, Gail, of Bellefonte, and by two grandchildren: Lucy Cramer and Timothy Durachko.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: George Jr and Andrew; and five sisters: Pauline Cella, Verna Scholl, Margaret Shaw, Mary Casher, and Elsie Rusnak. Eleanor was the last of her very close-knit siblings and truly treasured the times when everyone gathered for holidays and picnics.

There will be a public visitation on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 10 – 10:45am at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Graveside service be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 11am at the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery, with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery Association, C/O Queen of Archangels Parish, 102 Church St. Clarence, PA 16829.
