Emma G. (Hahn) Dixson, 90 of State College, passed away Friday evening, November 14, 2025, at the Embassy of Hearthside Nursing Home, State College.
Emma was born September 22, 1935, in Pine Glen, PA to the late Noah Hahn and Mary (Cox) Hahn Heichel.
Emma was a former member of the Moshannon United Methodist Church, Moshannon Community Center, Snow Shoe Senior Citizens and a former resident of Moshannon, PA. She enjoyed having her family for Sunday meals, going on trips with the Snow Shoe Senior Citizens, camping, gardening, growing flowers, crocheting blankets and spending time playing card games with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters: Betty Lou Leathers and her husband George, Brenda Hendershot and her husband Todd and Amy Williams and her husband Scott; one son: Carl Dixson and his wife Tammy; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Dixson, who she married January 21, 1955, and who passed away June 29, 1991, four brothers: Leonard Hahn, Robert Elwood Hahn, who were both killed in WW II, Arthur Hahn and Norman Hahn; three sisters: Marjorie L. (Hahn) Skripek and two baby sisters: Ruth Ann Hahn and Martha Elizabeth Hahn, one son: Dennis W. Dixson; one granddaughter: Kari Jane Hendershot and one great-great-grandson, Ryker Dale Lucas.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00am – 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 with the service immediately following at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801with Pastor Michael Swimley officiating.
Burial will be in the Centre County Memorial Park, State College, PA.
