Esther Mae (Steese) Kerstetter

Esther Mae Kerstetter, formerly of Millheim, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Centre Care in Bellefonte.  She was 92.  Born May 2, 1929 in Mifflinburg, Esther was a daughter of the late Ralph Owen Steese and Helen Anna (Bingaman) Steese.

 Esther was a homemaker during her lifetime.  She loved flowers.  Among her favorite activities was visiting the Dollar Store and Walmart where she would shop for hours.  She also enjoyed visiting Chilly Willy’s for ice cream with her friends.  Esther had special friends in her garbage men.  She would sit on the front porch of her home and wait for them with their favorite snacks of peanut butter cups and bologna in her hands.  Esther had many friends and loved to talk and tease with people.  She will be missed.

Esther is survived by eight children, Judy Ann Brosius (Stuart), Caroline E. “Sis” Carson (Ronald), Dorothy K. “Dot” Feaster, Rebecca J. Daulby (George), Lester O. “Junior” Kerstetter (Jen), Kathy O. Fetterolf (Jeff) and twins, William R. Kerstetter (Brenda) and Katherine E. “Dana” Wentworth.  Esther was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia McCloskey and Dianne Kerstetter as well as her husband Lester T. Kerstetter. 

In accordance with family wishes, all services are private.  Esther will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.  Contributions in memory of Esther may be given to Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, PO Box 437, Millheim, PA 16854.
