Frank J. Seprish, 87, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on June 23, 1933 in Clarence, he was the son of the late Mark and Amelia (Kupka) Ciprich. On June 21, 1959, in Clarence, he married Patricia E. Bambarger who survives in Bellefonte.

Frank attended the Cherry Run School. He was a member of the Queen of Archangels Parish in Clarence. He enlisted in the United States Army on May 27, 1953 and obtained the rank of CPL before his honorable discharge on May 16, 1955. He received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Korean Service Medal for his years of service. 

Frank built many miles of highway as a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of the Operating Engineers, local 66 for 60+ years.

Frank enjoyed working on cars. He could fix anything. He liked to start tree saplings from acorns and whirligigs. Many of the trees in his yard began this way. He was just an all-around nice guy that would help anyone. His favorite activity was playing with his grandchildren. 

Frank is survived by his wife, two children: Kevin W. Seprish of Addison, PA and Lisa E. Ford and her husband, Matthew, of Bellefonte; six grandchildren: Jamie, Brandon, Matthew, Olivia, Keri and her husband, Jeff, and Robert; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Frank is also survived by his three sisters: Mary Wozniak of Clarence, Martha Payne and her husband, Lee, of Colorado, and Bernadine Burns and her husband, Bill, of Ohio.

Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by three brothers: William, Andrew, and Joseph; and four sisters: Margie Babula, Verna Basalla, Agnes Fye, and Sue Drapcho.

A private service and buried with full military honors were held at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery on Sunday, February 28, 2021 with Father Michael Wolfe officiating.
