Gary L. “Charlie Brown” Copello, of Rebersburg, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at his residence after a hard fought battle with cancer.  Born September 29, 1952 in Ridgway, Gary was a son of the late Ray and Margaret “Geist” Copello. 

In his earlier years Gary was a co-owner of C&C Logging.  Most recently, he was self-employed as a truck driver at his business Copello Trucking.  At one time Gary participated in dirt track and snowmobile racing.  He enjoyed watching drag racing, playing darts and visiting the casino.  He loved being outdoors and could name you most any tree in the forest.  Most of all Gary loved to spend time with his grandchildren. 

Gary is survived by his longtime companion, Traci L. Confer of Rebersburg; three sons, Bruno Copello (Jennifer) and Gino Copello (Karen) both of Ridgway and Dominic Copello of Pittsburgh; six siblings, Larry Copello (Tina), Charles “Chuck” Copello, Jerry Joe Copello (Linda), Tony Copello (LeighAnn), Faythe Brown and Betsy Copello.  Also surviving is his adopted family, Tanesha Crestani, Dylan Hockenberry, and Sierra Hockenberry, along with ten grandchildren, Michael, Sophia, Nicholas, Gianna, Marlee, Ryleigh, Cody, Hazel, Paislee and Lainey.  In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one sister, Holly Scanish.
