James Daniel Confer

James Daniel Confer, 63, of Milesburg, passed away at home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Born on April 17, 1958, in Centre County, he was the son of the late James Victor and Shirley (Rupert) Confer. 

James was a graduate of Penns Valley High School. He worked as a truck driver for HRI until his retirement in March of 2021. 

He is survived by his five children, Daniel Confer of DuBois, Deanna Cooper (Jason) of Houtzdale, Dana Myers (Harry Myers, III) of Beech Creek, Nathan Confer of State College, Andrea Rogers (Caleb) of Lock Haven, and 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Trudy Tressler of Beech Creek, and Tina Sweeley of York, PA. 

James will be remembered by many for being such a hardworking man, but also enjoyed having a good time. He enjoyed cooking and socializing with his friends and family, and they always enjoyed his witty sense of humor. James also enjoyed learning about history. 

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
