Joshua D. Rhoads

Joshua D. Rhoads, 36, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center. Josh was born on November 30, 1984, in State College.

He is the son of Mary (Taylor) and Richard DeArmitt of Bellefonte and Douglas and Deb Rhoads of Green Valley, AZ. Along with his parents, he is survived by his partner, Kayla Miller of Bellefonte; his son, Orion Joshua Rhoads; his sister, Jessica and Chase Ellis of State College; his niece, Peyton Ellis; and his nephew, Logan Ellis.

Josh was a graduate of Bellefonte Area High School, Class of 2003. He also was a graduate of Penn State, Communications Class of 2008. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He loved music, playing his bass guitar, attending concerts, Penn State and Steelers football. He was known to be a tech and gadget guru and loved playing trivia games with friends and family.

He was known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He was a great friend to many and had a gentle and kind heart. His greatest pride and joy was his son, Orion.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10, 2021 from noon until 3 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte with Pastor Andrew Morgan, officiating.
