Joyce A. Bevilacqua, 77, of State College, a beloved member of the State College community, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born August 27, 1947, in Burlington, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Dubas Chiemingo.
She is survived by her significant other, Anthony Campiere of State College; three sons, David Bevilacqua of Centre Hall, Edward Bevilacqua of North Carolina, and Jason Bevilacqua of State College; two cherished grandsons, Braydon and Austin Bevilacqua; and two dear nephews, Todd and Greg Chiemingo.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Edward Chiemingo, and a nephew, Scott Chiemingo. Despite these losses, her family was a source of immense pride and joy throughout her life, and she nurtured deep and enduring bonds with each of them. Joyce’s kindness extended beyond her family; she was a friend to all who knew her and had a unique ability to brighten any room with her smile.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and significant other, as well as a dedicated employee who gave nearly four decades of service to the State College Area School District.
Outside of her professional life, Joyce was known for her warm, caring nature and her ability to make everyone around her feel special. Her love of family was evident in everything she did.
Her family and friends will remember her as a selfless, compassionate woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and dedication to her family, friends, will live on in their hearts.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10 am-12 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Michael Swimley officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
