Kathryn J. Billett, 77, of Bellefonte, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Centre Care in Bellefonte. Born on January 2, 1948, in Bellefonte, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Robert and Jane E. (Klinger) Cox. On August 10, 1963, in Milesburg, she married the love of her life, Harry W. Billett, Sr., who preceded her in death on June 16, 2019.

Kathryn attended Bellefonte Area High School; she dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a Christian, finding strength and comfort in her faith.

Kathryn had a passion for homemaking—whether it was cooking, cleaning, or taking in stray cats and dogs, each of which found a loving home with her. She cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially the moments when her grandchildren visited. Relaxing on her front porch with a cup of coffee was one of her simple pleasures.

Kathryn is survived by her three children: Brenda K. Billett of Elizabethtown, Harry W. Billett (Jonay Hockenberry) of Milesburg, and Tammy J. Chronister (Larry) of Bellefonte; her five siblings: Margie Worrick (Tom) of Bellefonte, Delores Waltz (Tom) of Bellefonte, Robert Cox (Denise) of Yarnell, Robin Burns (Edward) of Milesburg, and Todd Cox (Jen) of Centre Hall. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved son, Scott A. Billett, her brother, Rickie Cox, and her sister, Wanda Eby.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Meyer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA/PAWS, 1401 Trout Rd, Bellefonte, PA 16823, in honor of her love for animals.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. in Milesburg, PA. An online guest book is available for signing and condolences at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
