Kenneth F. Ishler, 77, of Bellefonte, known as Ken I. and Pop I. by his family and friends, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Geisinger Hospital in Lewistown. Born on January 31, 1944 in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Fred and Ida (Houser) Ishler. He is survived by his long-time companion, Angela Mitchell. 

Ken was a self-employed plumbing contractor for 47 years, he took great pride in his job, it was his life. He was a PA State Certified pipefitter and did his apprenticeship at Cerro Copper and Brass. In Ken’s free time he enjoyed four wheeling, going to his camp in the mountains, reloading, hunting, riding his Harley and especially loved time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ken served in the United State Marine Corps and received the Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by his children, Tammy McCloskey (Ralph) of Bellefonte, Kenneth Ishler II (Julie) of Lake City, FL., and his siblings, Bob Ishler of Centre Hall, Donna Confer of Bellefonte, Peggy Streff of CA, Susan Aycock, of AZ, and Denny Ishler of NC. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his furry cat buddies, Rosie, and Teddy.  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Candace Nickischer, two sisters, Sharon Ishler and Shirley Corl, two brothers, Norman Ishler and Wayne Ishler. 

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., of Bellefonte.
